When Does the Ometepe Kitesurfing Season Start?
The kitesurfing season in Ometepe runs from December through May, when the wind on Lake Nicaragua is at its strongest and most consistent.
Late November already brings the first steady breezes, so arriving early gives you time to settle into island life before the season fully kicks in.
If you’re planning your trip around the best wind conditions, December through March is generally the most reliable period of the season.
